Packaging and shipping methods

As the types of products that are to be rented out is limited, a fixed set of predefined and precalculated packages and shipment methods is optimal. virtualfab provides a standard set of packaging material and ships throughout Europe.

You may add individual packages according to your corporate identity and receive quotation for shipment to your target country by your carrier of choice. Of course, you may also provide your own carrier contract ID which then will be used to bill your shipments.

When creating a shipment for an asset or a set of assets, you have to choose which predefined method shall be applied. It is up to you to ensure that the products you would like to send out fits the dimension, weight and all other properties of the selected method. If this is not the case, virtualfab will automatically select and charge the next viable method.
