Provision assets

Once you created a product, you must register each asset of this product type. In order to keep track of the history of your assets, each unit requires to carry an unique serial number. virtualfab internally attaches a globally unique id (UUID) to each asset, but you may provide your companies serial number as well.

Once your assets are registered, they can be identified by the fulfillment center in case of an inbound transaction. So now it is about time to ship your assets to the warehouse location and wait for receival of inbound notice.

Your assets will automatically be inbound-checked according to your service definition and first asset history entries will be created. Once these checks are passed, your asset will be stored in the warehouse and marked as "ready for shipment".
